But anyway, I am going to be linking up with a few blogs today! First up, It's A Crafty Life for:
This can be about anything, as long as there are 10 things, I never could think of anything to write for this one before, but as I was browsing through various crafting blogs, my favorites list kept growing and growing and so I give you my Top 10 List of Projects I'd Like To Try! (In no particular order!)
1.
Rainbow Wreath (click on photos for original sources!): Okay, I actually have a lot of this style of wreath saved, this was just the first that I spotted. Love these! I fell in love with them at Christmas and almost bought one, but decided against it. But aren't they cute?
2.

3.

Button Monogram: How cute is this? I have a lot of random buttons and I'd actually been considering doing some type of thing like this too, but I'd never thought about using them to create a monogram! I love it!
4.

5.

Rosette Bib Necklace: I am in love with these, so unique! This one is made from old T-shirts, something I'm sure we all have on hand. This one might be a bit more difficult for me, but this is a list of 10 things I'd like to try, not 10 things that will actually turn out! ;)
6.
Meal Planner Menu Board: I love this. This version of course is a large bulletin board, if I decide to make my own, I will have to downsize it a lot, my kitchen is too small, but I love it anyway!
7.

Bottlecap Magnets: These are great little magnets that I'm sure I could have some fun with...if only we used anything in this house with the right type of caps...hmmm...
And for my final 3, these are projects I will actually be starting on soon!
8.
Name Sign for either the playroom or the bedroom. Both are done in trains- his bedroom is specifically Thomas, whereas the playroom is general trains (but still a lot of Thomas ha!)
9.
50 cent yard sale frame! Yes, 50 cents! I am not entirely sure what I am going to do with this, but I couldn't pass it up, it has a lot of potential. It will definitely be repainted (as much as I fell in love with the green color of my mirror redo, I am thinking it will be in red, it will match nearly every other room of my house) and I might just leave it at that. Other thoughts- bulletin board, chalkboard, photography prop (which would actually require me to have people to photograph)...and many more! It should be a fun project though regardless!

1. Do you make a budget and keep it, or just fly by the seat of your pants?
Not really, however I am not a spender! My husband on the other hand, he likes to give me heart attacks! lol. But because he's saving for a motorcycle, he's been great about not spending on unnecessary items! (Except when threatening to buy me a $300 Vera Bradley suitcase if I didn't buy it myself- in the end I won, told him if anything I'd want a duffel bag and I would look on ebay-- though in reality I probably won't be buying that either;))

2. Do you do spring cleaning and if so which month?
Again, not really. However, I am constantly going through things and trying to clear out what we don't need. I'm a pack rat by nature so this is actually kind of tough for me, but I'd rather do it now than to have a ton of things to get rid of when we eventually move!

3. Are you a yard sale lover and do you have them and go to them?
Yes! Haha, if you read my above finds, I'm definitely a yard sale lover! We usually go to them every weekend as something to do, but don't usually buy much...often nothing at all. I have made some great cheap finds! I don't mind having them, but to be honest, out here I'm a bit turned off of having my own- last year I had a charity yard sale to benefit Autism Speaks and it was insane. Even with signs everywhere stating that this was for charity, I had people bringing me $15 items, offering $1 and getting mad when I turned them down. I'm all about bargaining, but come on, be reasonable, especially for charity! Then there were people switching price stickers- I'd priced everything myself so while I might not have known the exact price, I knew the general area and they were way off...and worst of all, people actually STOLE from this yard sale! Wow, like I said, insane! (But I did raise a lot of money towards the cause so I can't complain TOO much!)

4. What do you take when you have a headache?
Honestly, I get migraines often, though not as often as I did in high school, I was only actually at school 1-2 days a week on average my junior year and ended up finishing my needed classes over the summer so that I could finish early, as I was afraid I would miss too much school and not graduate! (Which, for those who might be reading this and didn't know, was why I only came one day of senior year: graduation practice.) But anyway, unfortunately, the doctors have never found a cause or anything that really works for them, so mostly, I just deal! If anything, I will take benadryl to help me sleep and that at least helps some! I am just thankful that I do not have them nearly as often anymore!

5. Name 3 things that you feel lucky to have in your life!
God, Family, Friends.

ReplyDeleteThose headches sound awaful! And what nasty behaviour at a charity yard sale, I can not beleive some people!
ReplyDeleteI love that rainbow wreath! So so cute. And I'm really curious to see what you're going to do with that frame. I like the idea of a bulletin board. I am a total budget girl! Otherwise, I would spend like crazy. :-)
