When I think of 'Home for the Holidays', my mind goes straight to the kitchen. It is the heart of the home isn't it? And that seems to be even more true during this time of the year. Delicious holiday meals, baking cookies for Santa, homemade sweets- it all centers around the kitchen. For many, like my cheese-loving husband, the holidays are made even better with a wonderful cheese and meat tray. For that, Hickory Farms has you covered with their delicious collection of gourmet gift sets.
For this review, I received their Cheddar Flight with Salami Gift Set. This gift set includes:
-5 Oz Apple Smoked Cheddar With Paprika
-5 Oz Smoked Garlic Cheddar
-5 Oz Classic Cheddar
-5 Oz 3 Year Aged Cheddar
-7 Oz Dry Aged Salami

The gift set comes beautifully packaged, and is shipped with ice packs to ensure it arrives fresh. It also includes a fact sheet about the cheese included and suggests some pairings that would go great with each. Not only would this set make a delicious appetizer for all the Christmas meals, but it's the perfect gift for just about anyone on your list- the foodie, the one who has everything they want/need, the one you don't really know well enough to know what to get them- in my opinion, you can't go wrong with a tasty gift set. And let me tell you, they are tasty!! We're all big cheese fans in my household, and all of these were absolutely delicious. I don't eat meat myself, but my boys do...and the salami went over well with them too!
In my husband's family, one of the traditions we have every year is a Dirty Santa game. Each year we bring in a male gift and a female gift. We then draw numbers, and in order pick gifts from the pile and unwrap to show everyone what it was. The next person up can either choose a new gift, or steal a gift from someone else. This continues until everyone has gotten their gift. It's a ton of fun, but trying to choose a gift that anyone and everyone would love can be a challenge. These Hickory Farms gift sets would be absolutely perfect...and there are many more options available to fit ANY budget!
