Ah, babywearing...it's a wonderful thing isn't it? There is nothing like having your little one close to you as you go on about your day to day. When I'm out and about running errands, you can pretty much assume that my daughter is strapped to my chest. I wear her EVERYWHERE. I love being able to get things done, baby in tow. But this summer, I was presented with one challenge where babywearing didn't seem ideal- swimming! I couldn't very well hop into the pool with my soft structure carrier, could I? Absolutely not! But holding a wet, slippery child in the water? Well, that wasn't a good option either. Was I supposed to just skip the water this year? My son thought not. Thankfully, I discovered that there WAS a solution to my water babywearing needs- Beachfront Baby!
What is Beachfront Baby? Let's take a look:
Beachfront Baby water baby carriers are a must have for the summer! 100% polyester jersey mesh lends breath-ability with just the right amount of stretch. The fabric feels like a lightweight, silky swimsuit which keeps it light in the water & dries very quickly. Wear baby in the shower, at the beach, at the water-park or in the pool. This especially comes in handy for keeping your hands free to play with or help older children in the water! Available in our original wrap-style carrier and our NEW ring sling style! Available in 10 fun colors & 3 sizes to fit every parent and every wardrobe!
Beachfront Baby Carriers feature both wrap carriers as well as ring slings. For this review, I received their wonderful sling in Passionberry. The first thing I noticed was how absolutely stunning the color is. I personally like for my carriers to be a cute extension of my personal style, so this fun, vibrant color was ideal. I also loved how lightweight the fabric was...even when not in the water, it was a great airy option for those super hot and humid summer days! Included with the sling was a great detailed instruction booklet. I've done MANY searches on how to properly wear a sling, and found some to be a bit confusing...this one seemed easy to follow for even the newest of sling users! A definite plus!
Now, I'll be honest, while we have other slings and have used them on occasion, typically they aren't my daughter's preferred method of being worn. However, for some reason this one is the exception. I honestly couldn't tell you the reason for this- perhaps the material is more comfortable for her or maybe she just likes the color (she's truly always been drawn to pink), but whatever the reason, she has on several occasions taken it upon herself to bring it to me to put her in! She has never done this with other carriers, so that must be saying something!
Aside from babies comfort, the other important thing is how well it works, and it works wonderfully! Now, I can comfortably keep my daughter safe in the water, while still allowing my little guy to have his fun too! (Of course, it is important to remember to practice safe babywearing always- especially in the water! If new to ring slings, I suggest practicing before taking it to the pool!) And the pool/beach isn't the only place that this awesome sling comes in handy...

Let's be honest- when you become a mother shower time becomes much more difficult. My children have never liked giving me the time to shower on my own. When my husband is home, I usually have him take over briefly, but being married to a military man means that he's not always home...sometimes for days or weeks...and this mama still needs to shower. I've tried putting them in a playpen or an entertainment station type toy, but more than anything, they just want mama! I've taken them into the shower in the past, but it wasn't easy and I found washing my hair to be an impossible task! Now, I can use my Beachfront sling and have a little more freedom to do what I need to do! Seriously, how did I survive without having this for my son!?
Whether you're making a trip to the beach or just want a more productive shower, these water carriers are a perfect addition to your babywearing collection! If you'd like to purchase one for yourself, use the code Modern Day for free shipping in the US (10% off shipping outside the US). This offer is good until the end of September.

ReplyDeleteRing asking because it's easier to pop baby in and out w two other kids at the pool
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting with my first in 2 months and really want to babywear everywhere. We got a 3-in-1 convertible car seat for a great price so we won't have an infant car seat to haul her around in and strollers are a bit too pricey at the moment. I want as much contact and closeness as possible while she is little and I think a sling might even be helpful for breastfeeding in public. I love the Caribbean blue one size sling!
ReplyDeleteI love the Caribbean Blue sling! I need this carrier because I can use it all year in CA! I love babywearing and it would be a safe way to shower with my baby!
ReplyDeleteI would get the Key Lime OS wrap. We need this because we're probably going to the beach next summer and Baby Girl is due in October...

ReplyDeleteI would love the One Size Beachfront Baby Wrap because we live right by a lake and I would love to bring my daughter in the water with me.
ReplyDeleteI really love the Petite Beachfront Baby Sling, Navy Blue for my little man because I don't have any carrier for him yet!
