Have Fun in The Sun with Shoes from Topo Athletic {A #FuninSun Giveaway}

Like many women, I love shoes! In fact, I'm of the firm opinion that you can never have too many! From flats to heels to sandals, I love them all. But there is one kind of shoes I've never been much of a fan of: tennis shoes!


Now, don't get me wrong. I realize that tennis shoes certainly have their place in every shoe collection, but I have problem feet and have never been able to find a pair that don't hurt my feet. Still, when I attended day camp with my son a few weeks back, I knew that my typical flats were not going to be an option, tennis shoes would be a must. So, I was thrilled to have the chance to review a pair of Runventure shoes from Topo Athletic!

Now, I'll admit when I first saw my new Runventure shoes, I wasn't sure what to make of the wide toes. I have small feet, nothing wide about them at all, and yet I worried that these would make my feet look larger than they were. But then I put them on! While I had never given much thought about WHY typical tennis shoes were so uncomfortable, it was clear to me after wearing these for just an hour that it was the lack of toe room! No wonder my feet always felt so cramped and uncomfortable, there was no room for my toes to breathe! Finally, a pair of shoes that were actually comfortable! I actually looked forward to see how they would work out over the longer days at camp!

For my son, camp lasted from about 8 am to 4 pm, during which time I was on my feet constantly. Normally for me, this would mean I would barely be able to stand at the end of the day if I'd been wearing other tennis shoes. But my feet lasted the whole day with minimal discomfort! These shoes were truly designed with comfort in mind.

If there was ever a week that would put a pair of shoes to the test, it was most certainly this one! Not only was I walking constantly (while wearing a toddler no less), but it rained. Every. Single. Day. There was mud, the terrain was less than smooth, it was a mess. To be honest, at then end of the week, I ended up tossing a pair of my son's shoes away... there was no surviving that! But my Topo Athletic Runventures made it through. I had no problems with the trails, the woods or even the mud, My feet stayed clean and dry, and the shoes were still in great shape after!

As you can see, I was really impressed with the comfort and quality! From running to walking the trails, these shoes are wonderful!! I was happy to have them during our week at camp, and have continued to wear them since! They are fantastic for all of our outdoor summer adventures- camp, the zoo, walks around the neighborhood and so much more.
