Summer is here and the excitement is in the air! All year long, kids wait for this time of year... NO SCHOOL! Many great memories are made during these fun months.
For many, those memories revolve around one of the great enjoyments of summer--- summer camp!
My first camp experience was at 4-H camp! It wasn't a long camp- just a few days really- but it was a blast! We played fun games! We sang crazy songs! We did a zipline and tie dye and made banana s'mores... so many fond memories. Next came church camp. I started going here as a teenager and to this day it is remains one of my favorite places on earth. I made so many amazing friends there, many of whom I am still in contact with to this day. Again, there were more fun games, more great songs and more amazing memories.
Last year, my son had his first camp experience! While it was only a day camp, his days were packed! He went swimming! He did rope mazes! He did crafts! It was most certainly the highlight of his summer. At the end of the week, he was already looking forward to this year! So, in just a few short weeks, we'll be heading back once again!
Being a day camp, I was with my son the entire time he was at camp last year...so it should have been pretty difficult to lose things, right? Wrong! Mostly I was able to keep our things in check... but then came pool time. To get to the pool, the boys had to go through one locker room while the women went through another...and in that short time frame of changing into swim clothes, everything seemed to be misplaced! Shoes, clothes, undies, beach towels! Mostly, we were always able to eventually get it all together after several trips in and out... but on one day we ended up having to take a little trip over to the lost and found...and we discovered that we weren't alone in the lost things! That lost and found was FULL.
Let me say this truth again- kids lose everything!
Thankfully, we have Mabel's Labels to help us keep track of our things! This year they have introduced two fabulous new camp packs to fit your family's labeling needs:

This truly is everything you need to send your little one off to camp! With varying sizes, you have some smaller ones ideal for clothes, blankets, etc and larger ones for those larger camp needs. My personal favorites are the bag tags, which again can be used well beyond camp. These stickers are higgh quality, UV resistant and waterproof so they are certain to not just stay throughout camp... but for a long time to come too!
