It's time for another birthday week giveaway! And this time it's all about building!
For my son- and so many others his age... nothing can beat a great building toy. These fun toys inspire imagination, teach kids about following instructions, and well, they're just plain fun, right? My son loves putting things together and admiring his creations. So, when I was given the chance to try out a new building project with my son, I jumped at the chance. Introducing IncrediBuilds:
The IncrediBuilds collection features do-it-yourself, customizable, freestanding models that are sure to delight fans of all ages. Each model is made of Earth-friendly, FSC®-certified wood, and all products include step-by-step directions and coloring and crafting ideas. No glue or tools necessary. Informative and interactive, both kids and adults can use these projects to explore their creativity and create unique, displayable art.
There are a variety of kits available. Some feature favorite characters that kids love and others more general builds. For this review, we went with a few of my son's current favorites. Star Wars and Finding Dory.

Disney’s classic film Finding Nemo introduced Dory, the friendly-yet-forgetful blue fish that helped reunite Marlin with his son. Now fans of the film can build a freestanding wood model of Dory while reading about the colorful world of Finding Dory in the accompanying book. Each book comes with craft ideas for the model, inviting readers to decorate multiple models any way they want.

Skill Level: Advanced
My son could not wait to get started on these when they arrived! But let me tell you, these are not easy. Both kits are part of the advanced skill level, which is intended for ages 12+. This is probably pretty accurate. My son is only 9 but generally does very well with these types of projects, so we took the chance. He was able to put them together with no issues, but did find himself taking longer. In fact, he's still working on them. This isn't a bad thing, but definitely something to really consider when choosing the right kit for your child. There are easier kits as well, but either way these are not a super quick project. They are likely going to take time and concentration, and perhaps even some adult assistance (my husband loves these too!). Still, the time is so worth it! Once you finish, you are left with a fun, unique piece or art ready to display as is, or decorate as you please!
If you are looking for a fun new project that your child will love, these are certainly worth checking out. You can learn more at the links below:
