Love is in the air! That's right, Valentine's Day is right around the corner! This has many on the search to find just the right gift for the one they love. That had me curious, what are the most popular Valentine's gifts for her? Here's what my research seemed to conclude:
- Chocolates
- Flowers
- A Night Out
- Greeting Cards
Now, these are all great gifts, don't get me wrong, but I must admit, aside from a greeting card (I like sweet words), none of these would make my personal list. Here's the thing--- chocolates taste great for a moment, but then it's gone. Likewise, flowers may look great, but in a few weeks they've dried out and into the trash they go. Then what do you have left? A dinner out at least offers the great experience, but I must admit I'd be just as happy with a late night meal at home after the kids have gone to bed. All of these gifts tend to cost a pretty penny, with nothing to show for them in the end. Me? I prefer gifts that will last well beyond Valentine's Day! So, what are some more unique and long lasting gifts for her this Valentine's Day? I've put together a list to help get you started, with a little help from My Gift Stop:
A New Bag. I LOVE a good bag. I don't have a ton in my closet, but when I find one that I love I tend to use it for a long time, so this is a gift I would love to receive- a nice bag. Something for Her Hobbies. Does she love crafting? Grab her that tool she's been wanting! Love camping? Perhaps a new tent or sleeping bag, or new boots for hiking. While these gifts might not be your typical romantic Valentine's Day gifts, they will show that you are taking an interest in the things that matter to her, and will mean a lot more than an impersonal Valentine's classic.

The moral of the story--- Valentine's Day can be a great day to spoil the woman you love, but you don't have to stick with the typical.
