Who are you? I don't know about you, but when I'm asked that question, I'm never quite certain how to respond. What makes me ME?
We talk often about young people having to discover who they are, but if you ask me,this isn't an issue that is exclusive to the young. We all seem to have that struggle to find our roles. Who are we *supposed* to be? I think the issue we so often come across in this is that we are looking for our identities in the wrong place. We look to society to tell us who we need to be... and they're pretty quick to do just that. Everywhere you look we are being told just who we should be- wear this, think this, be this.
But what if as we are working so hard to be the person that we think we should be to the world, we are missing out on being just what God has called us to be?
My favorite Bible verse is Esther 4:14:
And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?
Now listen, I'm never going to be put into a royal position. Most of us won't. But even still, I feel like this is a verse the pertains to each and every one of us. The people we meet. The circumstances we face. The places we go. What if these aren't just stops along our journey to where we want to be... but exactly where God wants to use us in that moment? What if we are so focused on our own plans, that we ignore God's? What if we just started to consider exactly who we are in God's eyes--- who He created us to be?
Created. Called. Crowned. Chosen.
Shanna Noel's Illustrated Faith 'Only One You' devotional kit reminds you that you are created, called, and crowned by the King as you dig into the truths found throughtout this specially designed kit for April. 1 clear stamp collection
1 roll washi tape
1 thank you card from Shanna
3 heart-shaped tip-ins
12 paper prompts
3 paper pieces
2 sheets translucent stickers
4 journaling cards
4 devotional cards
1 plastic holder
Not only is this a great message and a reminder that I feel that we ALL need now and again, but it's a beautiful kit. I love the fun colors and designs. Naturally, the crown and Esther references really stuck out to me. This kit features 4 devotional cards that perfectly reflect this theme, with additional journaling cards to journal our thoughts. I found the tip ins to be especially gorgeous, and I loved the scripts included in the die cuts. This month's die cuts also featured prompts on the back- referencing a Bible verse for which these designs would be great for. This is actually a feature that is common with Illustrated Faith's non-kit die cuts, so I was very excited to see this!
Overall, I loved this kit and am excited to continue to journal my way through the idea of being who Christ made me to be. It is available to purchase now at Dayspring.
