It's no secret by now that I love a good Bible!

I started collecting them when I was in high school and throughout the years I have added many to my collection. I love that no matter what my personal needs are in a Bible, there is always one that fits those needs. When I need a great devotional, I can find Bibles for that. When I'm looking to get a little creative, I can find Bibles for that. And when I want to truly understand what I am reading and dig into some Bible study , I can find a Bible for that.

The CSB Study Bible for Women features the highly readable, highly reliable text of the Christian Standard Bible® (CSB). The CSB stays as literal as possible to the Bible’s original meaning without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with Scripture’s life-transforming message and to share it with others.


First and foremost, let's talk translation. This particular Bible translation isn't one that is super popular yet, but has become a favorite of mine as of late. It's very readable, but knowing that it sticks to a literal translation makes me feel confident that I'm reading the Bible as it is intended. While it might not be as popular as NIV or even ESV, it's really a fantastic option worth checking out.

Beyond that, I love the features of this Bible. Each book starts with a brief introduction to the book we are about to read--- the who, that what--- who wrote it? who was it written for? what's it about? where did it happen? why should we read it? what will we get from it? For me, this helped give me that background to truly know what I was about to read and put me in the proper mindset. Throughout we see other fantastic features such as word studies, timelines, character profiles, etc. There again give perspective and deeper insight into the stories we're reading. There are also sections called 'Biblical Womanhood' that really shares the role and importance of women in the Bible and truly makes this a Bible for all women.

With all of these great features, it has truly changed my Bible reading and helped me to truly dig deeper and better understand my Bible study. It has become a new favorite in my collection, and one that I am highly recommending!
