When I started Bible journaling three years ago, the options of Bibles available was not the largest. There were various style covers and a few translations, of course... but as far as the margin size, lines, style, etc. they were all very much similar. That changed VERY quickly. These days the options are nearly limitless. There are those with predrawn pages to color in, those with various sized fonts and margins, translations of every kind... whatever you're looking to get out of your journaling Bible, there is likely now a Bible out there that will help you to do just that.Today, I'm excited to share one such Bible, 'NIV Journal the Word Bible for Women, Comfort Print':

When we talk about Bible journaling, so often our minds go to art journaling. This is perhaps the most commonly DISPLAYED type of Bible journaling, but it's certainly not the only type. In fact, long before we started painting in our Bibles, people were taking notes and reflecting their thoughts on whatever margin space they could work with. Writing notes and sharing insights as you read is a GREAT way to dig deeper in the Word--- and a type of Bible journaling that absolutely anyone can enjoy, regardless of their art skills.
Still, sometimes I know when I go to write myself--- even as I read my Bible, I cannot figure out where to begin. What should I write about? Where do I start? In these moments I cannot help but think back to high school English class. Each class would start with journaling time- a prompt to write about written on the board. That was helpful. It gave me a place to start, and sometimes even led to more creative ideas that I could explore outside of classes. Journaling prompts are a great way to get the juices flowing, and encourage us to write...when we aren't sure what to write just yet. This Bible provides just that with over 500 reflective prompts. They make you think, they encourage you to dig deeper...they just make you write. While I suppose you COULD use this Bible and the prompts for art journaling as well, I personally feel like the darker lined pages make it a more ideal option for writing instead.
Aside from the great prompts, can we just take a moment to admire the stunning beauty in this Bible!? It reminds me of an old time story book--- absolutely gorgeous! And if you ask me, there's something pretty inspiring about that type of beauty as well.
If you're looking for a great Bible for your notes or your thoughts...and want that extra bit of inspiration as well, this is going to be a must see! 'NIV Journal the Word Bible for Women, Comfort Print' is available to purchase now at your favorite Bible retailers.
