Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her king
Let every heart prepare him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature sing
I love 'Joy To The World'.
As far as hymns go, there truly is no other that truly reflects the joy of Christmas quite like this one. I mean, it IS right there in the title isn't it?
But today, we're going to take a look at that one line, "Let every heart prepare Him room".
We've heard this lyric time and time again, but when was the last time we really stopped to consider exactly what those words meant? This simple line is truly what the advent season truly is all about... preparing our hearts for Jesus during this holiday season. Is there any greater gift we could give our children?
