It's Black Friday week!
What used to be just one day of shopping craziness has now been extended to cover up to a week in some stores! With all of those great deals, it can be tough to know where to begin! We want to get the most bang for our buck...but also make the best use of our time too.
Today, I'm sharing just a few simple tips to help you master your Black Friday shopping.
Make a List & A Plan.
This is key! All those deals can be overwhelming after all. Browse your ads beforehand and make a list of all the items you want/need, where the deal is at and when it begins. Schedule out a plan that will allow you to make the most of your time and money. Which store do you need to go to first (remember, big ticket items will go fast)? Can you shop any of these deals online? Where are all the stores located in relation to each other? What's your route to get there? Have a friend that loves deal shopping too? Split your stores and work together to grab it all.
Shop Online.
While there are going to be some deals that you have to hit the stores for, these days many also have the same great prices online too! In fact, some of those deals are even going on NOW! Awesome, right? Get the great deals and never leave your PJs.
Compare Prices.
With all the 'DEAL', 'SALE', 'DOORBUSTER' language... it can be easy to get caught up in thinking we have to grab it RIGHT NOW. While most deals truly ARE great deals, every once in awhile you'll find one that's really not. So, when making your lists, check around to see the price elsewhere. Is it worth fighting the crowds? Does someone else have it cheaper? This will help you prioritize which items you truly need to snatch up too.
Some stores also price match Black Friday deals too, another great reason to shop around. Be sure to check with your stores though for their price matching policies, particularly when it comes to Black Friday!
Get There Early.
Now, if you just want to browse the sales and don't really have any particular must haves in mind, it's fine to sleep in and take your time. Enjoy it. However, if you want any big ticket items, you're going to want to be there early. They WILL go fast, so be prepared!
Don't Stress It.
Did you miss a deal? Don't stress it. Black Friday might be the biggest sale day, but that doesn't mean there won't be more great deals throughout the season. In fact, there might even be better ones to come.
