The Top 4 Looks I Am Loving For This Spring & Summer from U.S. Polo Assn.

Hello warm weather!

It seems as though it took it's sweet time to get here, but it has finally seemed to arrive.... at least here in Indiana! And with spring weather comes spring fashion! I must admit, that is truly my favorite part of any changing season... the chance to update my wardrobe accordingly! I recently had the chance to shop for some spring looks at U.S. Polo Assn. and today I'm sharing my top 4 favorite looks I am loving for this spring and summer.

1. Casual Dresses.

I could live in dresses! To me, they are just so much more comfortable than jeans. As the cold weather fades away, I jump at the chance to wear my favorite dresses! As a mom, casual dresses are a MUST! Don't get me wrong, I do love my dressier dresses too... but for every day, something comfortable and simple suits me perfectly. U.S. Polo Assn. has a good variety of simple styles to flatter various body types and comfort levels.




The first dress to catch my eye was this cute Short Sleeve Shift Dress. I must admit the pale colors in this dress nearly scared me away because... kids! But it was too cute NOT to get! Again, it offers that simple, classic design that I love for summer! It's very light and just makes me feel like I'm ready to walk along the pier or go sailing... okay, okay... I may not actually be able to do either of those things, BUT this dress makes me feel like I COULD! I love the sleeve length as I'm not a huge fan of showing off my arms and have found that this particular length works well for me. It's short enough to keep me cool, but long enough to be flattering. This is going to be my go to dress all summer long! And my favorite part? It isn't see through. Another reason I often avoid white or otherwise lighter colored dresses is that they tend to leave little to the imagination... requiring a slip underneath which honestly isn't ideal in the summertime. This one is ready to go as is!

The next dress was the Belted Dot Pleated Dress. This was available in two colors, this bright red and a stunning navy blue. Unfortunately, the navy had sold out at the time in the x-small I needed, but this red was a great substitute! I feel like this color will be perfect all through spring and into summer too. The look is very classic... a simple button up, collared dress with a matching belt around the waist for a little shape. This dress is crazy comfortable and perfect for trips to the park with a simple pair of flats, but can be dressed up easily with some pumps and the proper accessories. It's very versatile and one that I'm glad to have in my closet!

2. Denim Tops.

I love a denim/chambray top because they are very versatile. They can be worn with khakis, or a darker wash denim, or some cute chino shorts. Dressed up or dressed down. My favorite way to wear them is with a cute floral skirt. This adds a feminine touch to the style and is truly just a perfect carefree spring look. U.S. Polo Assn.  had a variety of denim tops to choose from but I liked this simple long sleeve button up that could carry me all throughout the seasons--- with a cute skirt for spring, sleeves rolled with a pair of colored chino shorts for summer, or paired with a great cardigan for the colder months. This is a piece that I can do so much with--- my favorite pieces to have!



3. Off The Shoulder.

Many of you may recall that I broke my collarbone back in the fall and it's still in the process of healing. What you may not know is that because of the sharp point that is still quite prominent, some clothing styles can actually be a little irritating. Off the shoulder tops however are perfect! Aside from that though, they're super cute and flattering... I'd take them over a tank top ANY day! This simple red off the shoulder top is a fantastic color--- perfect with a dark pair of jeans or a pretty skirt... from spring picnics to the 4th of July! I absolutely LOVE it!



4. Denim Jackets.

Oh yes, we're back to denim! Whether it's jeans, a top or a jacket... denim is a great way to look casual AND cute all throughout spring. For me personally, I get cold easily so I love being able to throw on a simple denim jacket for some added warmth... the cute factor is really just a bonus. I loved the distressed look in this particular destructed denim jacket... it added to that cute and comfortable look that I love!
