My kids--- like so many others--- love comics. They love stories of the heroes overcoming the bad guys and all of the action and adventure that goes into that. And what story is more heroic than those told in the Bible. Just like our favorite superhero stories, they are filled with good over evil and epic adventures. This is why when we first heard of BibleForce, we were immediately drawn in. Our favorite Bible stories drawn in the style of comics? What's not to love about that?
And now, they've introduced a new devotional in that same style, and I have to say I LOVE it. BibleForce Devotional features 100 devotions perfect for kids. In addition to the devotions, they include comic style art to bring the story to life in a fun way. They also have 3 great additional features:
- Hero Training. This challenges kids to learn more about God, with Bible verses to look up and dig into and questions to consider as you read.
- Be a Hero! This is an activity that brings what they've learned to life with simple actions they can do in their everyday life.
- Fun Facts. My kids always love little facts, and so this is a great way to give a deeper understanding on the story too.
I would say that this is a devotional that is most appropriate for independent readers... I would say maybe 8-12 year olds would get the most enjoyment out of it (just based upon the content and my own interactions with kids at that stage), but I could certainly see kids both younger and older being able to enjoy it too.
Overall, this is a GREAT devotional that will truly have your kids excited to learn more about the Bible. Is there anything better we can give them than a love of the Lord?
