A battle for a charming Cape Cod inn…
But what happens when romance checks in?
Single mom Laura Lessoway won’t accept her mother’s plan of selling her late grandmother’s beachfront inn without a fight. But when big-city attorney Jonathan Masters arrives to arrange an offer from his client, she’s drawn to him. And although he came to Cape Cod to close an important business deal—not fall in love—he can’t get her out of his mind.
Laura and Jonathan each try to fight their attraction and focus on business, but it’s not long before Jonathan finds himself confiding in her his other reason for coming to The Sea Glass Inn—he’s trying to find his mentally ill father, who’s recently been spotted at a nearby homeless shelter.
Working together to find Jonathan’s father only brings Laura and Jonathan closer. But with his career and her home on the line, can they ever find common ground?

Falling for the Innkeeper is her first inspirational romance, but definitely not her last! She loves to hear from her readers, who can reach her at www.meghannwhistler.com.

Hi Meghann! Thank you for taking the time once again to answer my
questions and giving my readers the chance to get to know you and your new
book- Falling for the Innkeeper- a little bit better! I always
like to start these interviews the same way with something fun! Tell us 5
random facts about you we WON’T find in your bio.
1. I grew up in Canada, and I’m a big hockey fan!
2.
I once jumped out of a
plane, and I have video footage to prove it!
3.
My parents named me
after the heroine in The Thorn Birds.
4.
I have visited The
World’s Only Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
5.
I went to a garden party
at Buckingham Palace, although I didn’t get to meet the queen.
Let’s talk writing! Have you always known that this was something
you were meant to do?
Pretty much! I’ve always been a voracious reader, and I started
writing stories when I was in elementary school. My
fifth-grade teacher was actually so impressed with the “stranded on a desert
island” story I wrote on our classroom computer that he called my parents to
tell them about it. That was some heady validation for a pre-teen girl!
What drew you to inspirational romance?
Although I’ve been a Christian my whole life, I didn’t realize that there was such a thing as Christian fiction until about three years ago. I somehow stumbled across B.K. Dell’s Mead Mountain, and I was hooked! I started reading all the Christian books I could find at my local library, which just so happened to have a lot of Love Inspired romance novels.

Dell’s Mead Mountain, and I was hooked! I started reading all the Christian books I could find at my local library, which just so happened to have a lot of Love Inspired romance novels.
It was perfect timing for me, because I was going through some
hard things in my personal life, and the sweet, hopeful Love Inspired stories
helped lift me up when I was feeling down.
As a mom of three, life must be busy! How do you find the time to
write, and what does that writing routine look like for you?
Ha ha ha—that’s a loaded question right now! Before COVID-19, I
wrote for five or six hours a day while my kids were at school. Now, I’m lucky
to squeeze in a few hours on the weekend.
I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to get into a more consistent groove once school starts up again in the fall. (Fingers crossed that school will indeed start up again in the fall!)

Falling for the Innkeeper is
your first book. Congratulations! Can you share your reaction to learning that
it was being published? What was it like seeing your words in print for the
first time?
I was thrilled! I was waiting to get an allergy shot at my doctor’s
office when my agent called with the good news, so I couldn’t scream or do a
happy dance, but I’m a quiet person anyway, so I doubt I would have done
anything crazy even if I’d been in the privacy of my own home. 😉
Seeing the beautiful front cover of my book for the first time
gave me chills because it made everything so real. This long-held dream of mine
to become a published novelist had actually come true!
Can you tell us a little bit about Falling for the Innkeeper?
This is a really sweet story about a
workaholic lawyer and a wary single mother (and her adorably precocious
four-year-old daughter) who are drawn to each other despite the fact that his
career depends on convincing her to sell the only home she’s ever known—a
charming Cape Cod inn.
A few people have told me that the book has the vibe of a Hallmark
Movie, which is a huge compliment because that’s exactly how I want people to
feel when they’re reading this book!
What do you hope readers will take away from the
book?
I hope readers come away from Falling for the
Innkeeper with the sense that God is good and love is powerful—more
powerful than fear, more powerful than past mistakes and more powerful than
misplaced ambition.
