Christmas Under the Stars, a new Christmas special from Lauren Daigle {Review + Giveaway}

 I love Christmas, don't you?

Truly, I could listen to it all year round... and to be honest, sometimes I do. There is just something about turning on those familiar songs that fills our hearts with joy and warmth. They take us back to holidays passed, reminding us of home and holiday traditions, of childhood and simpler times. Oh yes, there truly is something so special about Christmas music that is without a doubt. 

I'm not the only one who thinks so. Many do, which is why there is always a good variety of Christmas television specials featuring various musicians giving their take on holiday classics. And this year we get to hear a performer who is loved by fans of both Christian music and secular music alike... Lauren Daigle! 



This two-time Grammy- Award winning, mult-platinum selling artist has a voice just as powerful as her message and this year for the very first time, she is bringing us a full-lengthed Christmas television special, "Christmas Under the Stars with Lauren Daigle."

During the special, we can enjoy her renditions of beloved Christmas classics, as well as some beautiful originals from her Christmas album 'Behold'. It truly does feel like an intimate concert experience right at home. With concert and in person entertainment being scarce in 2020, there truly is no better time for this! 

I was recently given the chance to check out the special before the premiere and I must say, I absolutely loved it. There are many Christmas classics included from Silent Night to the Christmas Song... but she has definitely given them her own unique spin. I enjoyed the soft jazzy influences in the songs, and found myself wanting to listen all day long. There were some interludes in which Lauren Daigle gives us some thoughts on Christmases past, her Christmas album, etc. which is a great touch for fans, but not over the top so those who just enjoy the music won't grow bored of it. Truly, this is one that fans of Lauren Daigle or holiday music in general are going to want to check out for themselves.
