Truly, I could just about eat them every single day. While perhaps not the heathiest of comfort foods, I have created my own baked versions that are at least a bit better than their friend counterparts. Simply half and remove seeds, mix cream cheese and cheddar, and fill peppers. Like a little crunch? Just top with crushed crackers, panko, or something similar. - They are unflavored. I am typically a little hsitant with flavored medications, as I find they often don't taste very good at all. OR many come in flavors that I cannot have due to allergies. - They can be used before OR after meals. If I'm eating something spicy, I pretty much know that there is a high chance of having some heartburn. I can plan ahead of time and take a tablet beforehand. However, sometimes it sneaks up on me with even blander foods setting it off. With no way of knowing when it might hit, I really cannot prepare in advance. I love that if heartburn strikes after eating, I can also take these once the symptoms begin.
- They're generally safe. Due to chronic health issues, I am on quite the variety of medications. That can make it harder to find even natural remedies for fear of adverse interactions.
