BOOKS IN THIS SERIES
Susan L. Tuttle lives in the Mitten State where she’s a mom of three and happily married to her best friend. Between still homeschooling her youngest and leading the women’s ministry at church, she finds time to write. An ACFW Carol Award finalist, she firmly convinced that letters were meant for words, not math, and loves stringing them together into stories that inspire and encourage. Hi Susan! Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and
giving my readers the chance to get to know you and your new book- Then
Again, Maybe a little bit better! I like to start these
interviews the same way with something fun to break the ice: can you share 5
random facts about yourself that we will NOT find in your bio?
I’m the youngest of 4.
I do not like to nap.
I love tacos.
I’m a Lions fan – though I’m not sure why at this moment ;)
I cannot do anything crafty to save my life.
Let’s talk writing! When did you first discover that you had a passion and
talent for writing?
At a very young age! I
won my first writing contest as a first grader and was hooked.
What drew you to writing romance and why was it important to you to include
aspects of faith within your stories as well?
Ohhhh!
This question has my heart! For me, Jesus is the biggest romancer of all. He
pursues us and loves us lavishly, so my stories always tend to come from that
angle of love and romance, because it just sets me up to talk about him. And as far as why I include faith aspects, well, my faith is
such a central part of my life that I can’t separate myself, how I speak, or
how I see the world, from it. So everything I do is going to come through the
lens of faith, including my writing. And I hope that in some way it sparks
readers to deepen their relationship with Jesus, because at the end of the day,
that is what truly matters.
While I have only had the chance to read one of your previous novels (so far),
I thoroughly enjoyed the authenticity of your characters- their flaws and
seeing their growth in God made them all the more relatable. Will we see the
same in this book?
Most definitely. These
two characters, Belle and Micah, have a lot of change that needs to occur in
their lives. A little has already taken place off-page, but their journey was
far from complete at the start of this book.
Can you tell us a little bit about Then
Again, Maybe?
It’s a second-chance
love story. Belle and Micah were in book one of the series, At First Glance,
and they most definitely did not get their HEA in that story. In fact, they
weren’t the nicest of characters back then. They both had their reasons, and
some of those you’ll discover in Then Again, Maybe as they work to find
their way back to each other.
What do you hope readers will take away from the book?
A new perspective on forgiveness and reconciliation. Those are
two really tough things to walk through, but there’s such freedom when we allow
God to heal our hearts and help us release old hurts.
Then Again, Maybe is the second book in the Along Came Love series.
Will readers who have not read the first book be able to enjoy this as a
standalone?
100%. While the books are definitely
connected, I wrote them as standalones that enhance each other rather than
depend on each other. So jump on in!
Thank you again for taking the time to answer these questions. Before you go,
are there any other projects you are currently working on that you can share?
I actually just finished the third book in this series which
will be Rachael and Evan’s story. You’ll see that hit shelves the end of this
year! Thanks SO MUCH for having me <3
