From Isolated to Influence
“He’s not listening,” Cathy fumed, as the civic leader towered over her. She went home and “plopped open” her Bible.
There’s got to be something here about people who don’t listen. She found over 40 ways Jesus communicated.
Plus, she gained new respect for one of the most fascinating women in scripture. Jesus, the Master Communicator, engaged the woman at the well in just one conversation. She immediately zipped from lonely to leadership. We can, too!

My Thoughts
If I'm being honest, I'm not the best at communicating...and I'm certain I'm not alone in that. As such, this book is so very much needed, isn't it?
This book takes a look at scripture--- more specifically the story of the woman at the well--- and helps us to apply it to our own lives to better engage in conversation with those around us. It really breaks down how Jesus was in conversation, and how we can apply that ourselves. While I am sure there are many books on the topic of communication out there, I definitely appreciate that this one is based in scripture with many references throughout. There is a lot of information packed within these pages and I hope to be able to learn from and apply it to my own conversations.
As someone who has always appreciated a good inspirational quote, I must say that I also found that I enjoyed the quote at the end of each chapter to be a nice added bonus too!
