Book Review

Under the Blue Skies is the third book in the Big Sky Amish series. I had personally read the first book, but not the second and found that this read just fine as a standalone anyway. That said, if you're looking for a good Amish series to dive into, this is definitely one I would recommend. 

To be honest, while I have enjoyed Amish fiction very much in the past, I've found that recently it's one that has been very hit and miss for me. I am happy to say that this one is definitely a hit! Right from the very first chapter, I found myself intrigued by these characters and wanted to learn more about their backstories. Of course, I always adore a good grump in a story, so it should come as no surprise that Thomas' character drew me in. Lovina was also such a likeable character that it was hard not to be drawn into her life and rooting for her to find the happily ever after that she desires too. I found this to be a beautiful story of family, love and faith. Fans of Amish fiction, of course, are going to want to add this to their reading list... but I'd even encourage those who aren't usually big Amish readers to give it a chance as well!
