I was recently given the chance to check out this book for myself and share my thoughts. I do want to say that at the time of this posting, I have not finished the book in its entirety, but enough to get a good feel for what's inside.
With any parenting book, I think it's really important to remember that parenting isn't always one size fits all and I don't think there is one parenting book out there that we will all agree with every single aspect of. I think books such as this can be a great starting point to make us think... but that doesn't mean we have to follow all the advice to a T. As I read through this book, I thought there were many great points brought up and definitely a lot of helpful tips and advice that we can learn from. It covered a wide variety of topics that we as parents deal with today--- and doesn't shy away from some tougher topics either. One thing that I really appreciated is that the authors shared their own experiences and struggles throughout as well. Likewise, there were also points that I didn't necessarily agree with or that didn't make sense for my family and my children. And that's okay too!
