There is a reason that Candace Cameron Bure has been called the queen of Christmas... her holiday movies tend to be some of my very favorites! As such, I was super excited to have the opportunity to check out her latest Christmas movie for Great American Family, My Christmas Hero. Check it out: 

In My Christmas Hero, US Army reservist and orthopedic physician, Nicole Ramsey (Bure) is dedicated to serving military service members and their families at the Joint Military Base in Lacey, Washington, home of I Corps and the 62nd Airlift Wing. This Christmas, with the help of many dedicated heroes, Dr. Ramsey is on a mission to honor a special fallen soldier and bring much needed healing to her own family.




As I said, I'm a huge Candace Cameron Bure fan and her movies always tend to be some of my favorites every year... and this is absolutely no exception. As a matter of fact, this might just be one of my very favorites of hers as well. This has many of the aspects that we all know and love from her previous movies--- they are full of Christmas cheer and romance! What I really loved about this one though is not only do we get those things, but it touches on faith too. How great is it to see holiday romances that will openly talk about God!? I love that. It wasn't overdone but felt just right for the story and the season. 

As a military spouse, this movie definitely stood out to me. In some ways it felt a little like a love letter to the troops... or a nod of appreciation anyway. While overall the movie left me feeling hopeful and happy, it touches on some of those struggles that servicemembers and their families face, to include PTSD. I think this is such an important thing for people to see more of as it is a reality that so many are facing. 

If you're looking for a great movie to watch this holiday season, put this one at the top of your list!
