Max is running, but is she running from California or to Liam?
California didn’t pan out how she’d hoped when she left her hometown for college seven years ago. Now she’s back in Winterlight, caring for her elderly Gran, living next door to her ex-boyfriend—the boy she’s loved all her life, picking up the pieces of her life.
Liam’s heart has always belonged to one person—Max, his Cupcake. Now she’s back in Winterlight, and she’s everywhere: working at his favorite coffee shop, living next door. He can’t escape her, nor does he want to.
He has one goal: to convince her for a second chance.
This story is filled with love, laughter, nosey Italian mothers and townspeople, letters from Gran, grief, finding family, and facing challenges together.
Love’s Rematch is book three in the Rainy Days Cafe Series but can be read as a standalone.
Meagan is an Oklahoma native. Writing had never been on her radar until recently. She has been happy being a mom and wife. One day, that nudge to write couldn’t be ignored.
She loves traveling and longs to go on a European tour one day- London being at the top of the list. Her favorite things are reading, Singing in the car, napping, kickboxing, baking, and hot tea.
Love's Rematch is the third book in the Rainy Days Cafe series but can be enjoyed as a standalone if you have not yet read the previous books.
Second chance romances are some of my very favorite, and this story is a prime example as to why. Max and Liam were high school sweethearts, who hadn't seen each other for seven years until she returns to be closer to her grandma. They both may have grown up a lot in those years apart but one thing that hasn't changed? Their chemistry! I loved seeing pieces of their past, making me root for them to finally get their happily ever after. It is that history that I think makes second chances so great--- there's already a foundation there... and they already know exactly what it's like to lose each other and what it they've got to fight for. Beyond the romance, which was great, there was also a lot more going on in this story too! I'm not going to say much as I don't want to give anything away, but the sense of family... and particularly those you choose is strong in this story and I loved that about it. It's a sweet story with many tender moments and one that I found myself really enjoying.
Love's Rematch is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
