My Marriage Pact by Kristine W. Joy: Book Review
*Book received for consideration. All thoughts are my own.
My marriage pact from high school is suddenly on the table—and my best friend wants to cash it in…
Life was simple until Evan, my rock-solid childhood best friend turned dreamy doctor, dropped a bombshell.
He wants to cash in the marriage pact we made as teenagers…
Evan’s always been there for me, but when he suggests we take our friendship to the next level, I freeze.
I can’t risk our bond for something more…
Then, a twist of fate lands me in his arms after an accident, and suddenly, everything feels different.
But by the time I finally gather the courage to admit my feelings, it all blows up in my face.
Will we take a chance on love? Or is it too late?
My Marriage Pact is a sweet and swoony, friends to lovers, closed-door romcom. It's the third and final standalone story in Kristine W. Joy's My Way to Romance Series following three best friends who live in Boston.
Kristine W. Joy is an Amazon Bestselling Author who loves creating sweet and swoony stories full of sizzling chemistry and laugh-out-loud banter. She prefers her coffee iced and her kisses hot. When she's not dreaming up romance novels or writing from a cozy coffee shop in Northern California, she is spending time with her hubby and toddler. Becoming a published author was a lifelong dream. Becoming a momma was the inspiration to make it a reality.

My Marriage Pact is the third book in the My Way to Romance series. The series follows three best friends as they each get their happily ever afters, and while I think this could be enjoyed as a standalone, you'll definitely get a better understanding of that friendship dynamic if you read them all in order.
Evan and Emmy have such a sweet friendship... I absolutely adored them together. I loved their long history, having been best friends since they were children. The way Evan cares for and keeps pursuing her? So, so good. But boy... is Emmy stubborn! There were definitely a few moments throughout the story that I wanted to shake some sense into these two--- mostly her, if we're being that... which means clearly, I was quite emotionally invested in their story! Thankfully, they figure it all out in the end, and it is absolutely worth it! They were so cute, and I just adored them!
As much as I loved the romance, I loved this group of friends just as much. I loved the love between them--- so supportive of each other, but also not afraid to say it like it is either. Catching up with the couples from the previous books was great, and I thought the ending really just wrapped the series up beautifully.
My Marriage Pact is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
