I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother by Abby Greyson: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

A best man, a maid of honor, and a matchmaking bride and groom.

I was torn to pieces when Jamie left town and ended things,
even though I knew it wasn’t the last time I would see him.

Jamie is my best friend’s brother and my brother’s best friend.

They're getting married.

Making me the maid of honor, and Jamie the best man.

I know, I know—totally cliché.

It’s not a big deal. I’m an adult, and I’ve gotten over heartbreak before.

Getting over Jamie will be no different.

Except for my meddling family
and the fact that he told me he missed me every day he was away.

He missed me but didn’t call. Yeah, right.

I can handle this. I’ve got a heart of steel. I’ll be fine.

I just didn’t expect him to show up with a blow torch.

Book Review

I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother is the third book in the Bake My Day with Love series. While the characters from previous books play a big part in this story (and the main characters were likewise introduced in previous books), I do think this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well. You might have a slightly better understanding of the family dynamics if you've read the previous books too though.

This was such a fun read. Much like the first book, with Jamie and Evie's story, you get not just best friend's brother, but also brother's best friend... Jamie and Evie are in fact the other duo in that dynamic from book one (meaning their sibling/best friend were Sean and Jessica from book one). Despite that similarity, their two love stories really couldn't be more different. There's a bit of a second chance vibe, though they never really had their first chance to start with... just when it seemed like something might be developing between them, Jamie left abruptly leaving Evie confused. When he returns, he has some work to do to win her trust back. This was such a cute romance with lots of family (and town) meddling and some super fun Christmas references too. I enjoyed seeing the couples from the previous books again, and of course, seeing Jamie and Evie get their happily ever after as well.

I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
