Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister by Latisha Sexton: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

First comes a lifelong crush, then comes . . . a marriage of convenience to her sister?

Marrying Lois Jones was the only future Bram Baxter ever planned for. Until she returns home from Europe with another man’s ring on her finger. Devastated, Bram struggles to envision a different future for himself. When Lois’ sister, Quinn, receives an unexpected medical diagnosis, Bram offers to help in any way he can.

Quinn Jones is the thread that has held her family together since her dad’s death. Until a trip to the doctor brings her life to a screeching halt. Grappling with a new diagnosis, Quinn’s determined to not let it slow her down. But with her funds dropping into a bottomless pit of medical bills, Quinn finds herself at a place she never could have imagined.

At the altar. With Bram.

When Bram and Quinn learn the hard way that love is a choice, will they choose each other?

*Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister is a sweet, Christian romantic comedy full of faith, laugh-out-loud moments, and a tender, minty romance that will make your toes curl*

Book Review

Simply put, I absolutely LOVED this book. From the moment I saw the title, it made its way to the top of my TBR, and it absolutely did not disappoint in the slightest. First of all, I love a good marriage of convenience trope... it's one of my very favorites. And while it's not one that I see nearly as much of, nearly every book that I've read that takes on the 'wrong sibling' trope has been one I loved too... mixing the two? Yes please! Honestly, a story about a man marrying the sister of the girl he'd always thought he loved could have been an absolute disaster... but Latisha Sexton pulled it off brilliantly. Their relationship definitely had its messy moments, but their story was truly so very tender and romantic. I loved that both of these characters may not have been perfect, they had such a strong faith and entered into this marriage of convenience with the determination to put God first in the marriage and make it work. I think that really made it feel different than many other MOC books I've read. It was definitely a bit of a slower burn, but I loved seeing their feelings growing and changing as the story went on. Truly, an absolute must read for fans of Christian romance.

Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister is a Christian romance but does have implied intimacy off pages between a married couple. While we know what happened (there's a very subtle fade to black moment) and it is talked about after the fact, nothing explicit happens on the pages. There is no language.
