Love Rekindled at Evergreen Inn by Willa Lyons: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Our daughter orchestrates a parent trap, hoping for a Christmas miracle.

He’s my first love, my husband, my heartbreak.

Jimmy's salt-and-pepper hair and rugged face still make my knees go weak.

But memories of the fire that broke our marriage burn between us like dying embers.

The imminent birth of our first grandchild and the resurrection of my parents' bakery brings us back together.

Now, we're snowed in at Evergreen Inn, and we’re forced to confront our past.

As we frost cookies side by side, old flames threaten to reignite.

This Christmas reunion could save our family's legacy or destroy it forever.

This standalone is a part of the Sweet Christmas Kisses Series and is a kisses-only, parent trap, second chance, forced proximity, later in life, opposites attract, happily ever after romance.

Book Review

Love Rekindled at Evergreen Inn is the third book in the Sweet Christmas Kisses series. This is a multi-author series and all books can be enjoyed in any order or as standalones.

This was a really sweet second chance/marriage rekindled romance. To get her parents to make up after he up and left randomly, Ella invites her parents- Jimmy and Eve- to stay at the Evergreen Inn so they could all spend the holidays together. Between helping their daughter prepare to reopen the family bakery and being snowed in together at the inn, that forced proximity allows them to finally have the chance to talk about what happened and learn to forgive and trust again. Admittedly, with the parent trap mentions in the blurb, I did expect that Ella would play a larger part in their rekindling (and perhaps some Parent Trap like antics along the way), but her role wasn't quite that hands on. Still, I found I enjoyed their story just the same. It was a sweet romance packed with all the elements I love in a holiday romance--- holiday baking, snow, traditions, etc. It was a quick holiday read, perfect for the season!

Love Rekindled at Evergreen Inn is a closed-door romance with kisses only. It does have a little bit of minor language as well.
