Reel Love by Savannah Scott: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Someone I've never met may actually be the love of my life.

Everyone knows me as Alana Graves, world-famous actress.
I live in the limelight and the glow of my parents' Hollywood legacy.

Wherever I go, people recognize me, scream my name, follow me relentlessly.
My collection of baseball caps and sunglasses rivals that of any major league player.

Everyone knows me, but him. Because he has no idea who I really am.
He and I play word games online. But we've never met in person. Ever.
I don't even know his name. And he doesn't know mine.
To him, I'm just SaturdayIslandGirl.

Yet, he's becoming the one I go to when I need to talk about my day, the one I think of when something funny happens, my unexpected safe place.

Do I want to meet him? Yes. ... No.

When our relationship goes public, I'll either have to drag him onto the red carpet with me, or walk away. Being Alana Graves means I can't have both love and fame. I'll have to choose. Our relationship has an end date., which is too bad because I think I might be falling for my mystery man.

Reel Love is a celebrity, hidden identity sweet romantic comedy with You've Got Mail vibes. This story has banter, tension and chemistry while keeping the romance closed door. This is the fifth book in the Love Trippin' Series, but can be read as a stand-alone story.

The Author

Savannah Scott loves writing happily-ever-after romcoms with scenes where kisses make you melt. Her characters feel like long lost friends, and the settings make you want to take off on a road trip to visit.

You will smile. You will laugh. Yes. You will need coffee because you stayed up past your bedtime reading. Sorry, not sorry.

If you can’t find Savannah, she’s probably hiding with a book, dancing Zumba, or going a little crazy being the fun carpool mom who cranks the tunes and always goes through the drive-thru for copious amounts of sugar and fat on the way home from school.

(Can you keep a secret? I thought so. Savannah also writes as Patty H Scott, which is the Clark Kent to her Superman. If you like clean romance, check out Patty's books.)

Book Review

Reel Love is the fifth book in the Love Trippin' series. While we see some familiar characters make appearances throughout this book, this could certainly be enjoyed as a standalone without any issues as well. The rest of the series is great though, and I highly recommend reading them all.

Oh my goodness... Alana and Stevens! These two were just the absolute sweetest together. From their hilariously awkward meet cute to their online banter to the charity event... I truly just could not get enough of these two and their fantastic chemistry. While he was definitely a little starstruck at first, he fell for who she was as a person and not just the fame. I though the secret identity aspects of this story were absolutely pulled off perfectly too and added such a great element to their story and helped build that trust between them. I loved how this was just one of the MANY ways throughout the story that fate seemed to be drawing them to one another... and how their connection was really genuine beyond name or looks, which is something that they both seemed to struggle to find... especially Alana in her career as an actress. And tacos as a love language!? Yes, please!! Their story had the perfect blend of moments that were tender and swoonworthy and moments that had me laughing out loud. Of course, I loved seeing some familiar side characters, but there were some really great side characters new to this one too. Stevens' mom might just be my favorite ever... I absolutely adored her and the humor she added to the story! I definitely need more of her! If you love celebrity romance, this is one you won't want to miss.

Reel Love is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
