Stuck With My Christmas Crush by Francesca Spencer: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

I’m dressed as a Christmas fairy. My car is broken. My phone is dead. And I’m probably next, but I get rescued by a bossy grump.

Talk about bah humbug.

He tows me to his place, a hotel close by.

Hooray! A hotel. Except it’s shut.

As a storm closes in, I hunker down with Jason, the handsome capable ex-military, and Rocko, his enormous dog, in the tiny hotel gatehouse, their temporary home.

At first, Jason resents my chaotic presence and possibly regrets his roadside rescue as we wait out the raging blizzard.

Then, the power goes out. We’re thrown into darkness. But we have a wood-burner and candles.

It could be just my imagination, but Jason’s frosty exterior melts away in the soft warm glow. He even forgets to be annoyed about the trail of pink glitter I’ve left in his room.

Maybe I shouldn’t admit that I’m having the best time in this snowed-in disaster.

I know what I want for Christmas. I wonder if Jason wants it too.

Stuck With My Christmas Crush is a kisses-only closed-door standalone clean romance, loaded with laughs and sizzling chemistry, and enough fairy lights, glitter and tinsel to give any Grinch a festive vibe.

My stories are loaded with funny stuff, coincidence, drama and love.

I pull out all the action and comedy, which is usually tragic and accident laden - add some romance if it's romcom - and package it up in a satisfying narrative tied up with a big pink shiny satin bow.

Tadaah! Here you go. Enjoy.

I'm a compulsive traveller. In fact, it's almost an addiction. I have to move around. To fund this expensive hobby, I've worked as an international primary school teacher in a number of countries, for a number of years, which has supplied its own rewards and serviced a mountain of writing material.

When I'm not teaching or having marvellous adventures, I'm visiting friends and family and writing books.

Book Review

Stuck With My Christmas Crush is the fourth book in the Sweet Christmas Kisses series. This is a multi-author series, and all books can be enjoyed as standalones or in any order.

This was such a fun read! A grumpy former soldier who is a bit of a Grinch and a pink glittery fairy!? Talk about opposites attracting! Despite their very different personalities, Jason and Charlie had a really cute and easy chemistry between them. I loved seeing Charlie bring out a softer side of this grump and thought they balanced each other very well.  Though the attraction and chemistry were evident right from the very start, they definitely had some issues to work through first. In that way, it felt like a bit of a slow burn--- even though in reality it was actually a pretty quick romance. It was definitely giving me some Hallmark holiday vibes--- in the very best way possible with all of its Christmas charm. If you're looking for a sweet holiday read, this is one to add to your TBR.

Stuck With My Christmas Crush is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
