Build a Faith Community with Zaia: A Christian Social Platform #zaia #christiancommunity #faithcommunity @zaia_app

This is a sponsored post written for Zaia. All opinions are 100% my own.

I don't know about you, but personally, social media and I have a bit of a love/hate relationship.

On the one hand, it can be a really great place to connect with people--- be it people that we know in our real life or people with similar interests. As someone who both lives far from my family and struggles with social anxiety and creating new connections, this has definitely been a way that social media has been great in my own life.

On the other hand, it can come with a lot of negativity too. How many times have we found ourselves scrolling through and seen people divided over even the smallest of things. If it's not division, it's just bad news or even content that is just not something you prefer to see. The Bible tells us to think on 'whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable'... which can be really hard to do when we are all too often bombarded with just the opposite.

What is there was a place that Christians could gather and know that is exactly what they will find?

Introducing Zaia-

Zaia (which means light) is a Christian social platform meant to be a place for us to connect and discuss how we can be a light in the world. It is a fun and easy to use platform with text only, image, or video options all within one platform. You can also create private or public groups called Tribes that allow you to connect with others over shared interests.

I recently had the chance to create a profile and check it out for myself. (You can find me under username RandiKaye.) I'm not much of an app user so I definitely prefer apps that are easy to navigate. While I definitely still have some more exploring to do, I did find this one to be pretty easy to figure out. I loved that you could see testimonies, prayer requests and general posts... seeing easily how you can pray for others in the community is a really nice concept. Some people are using Tribes to replace WhatsApp as they have the same features, though I've never personally used WhatsApp to see how they compare. Either way, there are a lot of great features on this app to be explored. I think perhaps my favorite feature is that there is a Bible directly in the app as well. While I know there are many other Bible apps out there as well, I really like the idea of having this app being an all-in-one place for fellowship and Bible access too.

While I don't believe that as Christians we should fully isolate ourselves and build connections only with Christians, I think it IS great to have a place to go that can feel like an escape to the negativity we find elsewhere, and Zaia could be a great place to build that type of Christian community.
