Let's Not & Sleigh We Did by J.P. Sterling: Book Review

**ARC received via Netgalley for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Oh, oh, the mistletoe, hung where I did NOT see.
My brother’s friend waits for me and gets down on one knee—What is happening?

Somebody stop it, please!
Oh, those dreamy blue eyes batting at me, and all the words he dares to say.
This is bad.
Like really, really bad.
We’re now planning a wedding day.
But it’s all for a good reason, not love.
Oh, cough, cough, let’s not bust out the L-word.
It’s purely business.
It is a solid plan until it isn't.
So maybe I love him, but we agreed not to do that . . . whoops!

Let's Not and Sleigh We Did is a fake marriage of convenience, brother's best friend, just-kisses-but-all-the-swoons romcom. Oh, yeah, there's a fluffy cow too!

The Author

J.P. Sterling grew up watching old reruns of Lucille Ball and Mary Tyler Moore and fell in love with wholesome entertainment and slapstick comedy. She loves leaning into the over-the-top humor and full circle moments, especially if it means the underdog gets to shine.

Aside from writing, she's also a wife and homeschooling mom, a holistic dietitian, a former college professor and lover of all things dark chocolate.

*No swears. Just kisses. No Blasphemies.*

Book Review

Let's Not and Sleigh We Did is the third book in the Christmas Shenanigans series. I had not personally read the previous books in the series and found I was able to enjoy this one just fine as a standalone.

This was such a cute holiday romance with all the makings of a Hallmark movie! Christmas Shenanigans is truly the perfect title for this series (or at least this book), because there was a whole lot going on in this story--- Noelle finds herself in need of a new roommate/place to live and her brother's best friend whom she'd shared an awful first kiss with in middle school steps into help... and when he learns that he needs to be married to inherit a house, a fake marriage seems like the perfect solution for everyone. Except that the two have never really gotten along. The more time they spend together, the more that changes and I found I really enjoyed seeing her come around to him as the story went on. The story had a good dose of Christmas magic (not to mention an adorable cow) and was just a really fun holiday read!

Let's Not and Sleigh We Did is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
