Perfectly Wedded by Grace Worthington: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Who gets married out of convenience? Apparently, I do.
My best friend was only supposed to be my fake date to a high-stakes Vegas event. But when my ex showed up with another woman on his arm, my friend suggested the ultimate payback: pretending we were engaged.

When I accidentally mention my medical insurance issues due to a car accident, he proposes taking our charade to the next level—a temporary marriage until I'm better.

I nearly spit out my drink.

Yeah, right. Like that won't completely ruin our friendship.

But we can’t go back now. Our charade worked so well that everyone bought it—even my ex who leaked our Vegas wedding all over the internet.

Now we have to go through with this farce…at least until I'm better and the media storm dies down for my hockey star husband.

If that wasn't complicated enough, my sister is married to his brother, which means this fake marriage just took things from ‘mildly complicated’ to ‘full-blown family soap opera.’

We'll have to sell this to our friends and family by fake kissing and sharing a bedroom, all while sticking to our friend zone rules behind closed doors.

But there’s just one tiny secret he doesn’t know:

I’ve been in love with my best friend since I met him.

When he pulls me close and says, “my wife,” I know I won’t ever forget that.

I might have married my best friend out of convenience, but love is anything but convenient.

Perfectly Wedded is a closed door hockey romcom with a holiday epilogue that includes tropes like marriage of convenience, forced proximity, and friends to lovers. This is the first book in a clean, closed door hockey spin off series with just kisses but all the emotional payoff.

Book Review

While this is the first book in a new series, it is a spinoff of The Roommate Remodel, and many characters were first introduced there. If you want the full history of how Vale and Sloan first met and more of an introduction to the rest of the team, you might want to start there, but this can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

I absolutely, positively LOVED this book. Right from the start, I was absolutely hooked. Waking up to remember that you've married your best friend in Vegas? Yes, please! But while it might have been a marriage of convenience, it is anything but fake for Vale. My goodness, this man! The way he was absolutely all in, fully committed to making it work and threw out those 'my wife' sentiments right from the start had me absolutely melting. Seriously, there are no words to express how much I loved how he loved her. Sloan is a bit more apprehensive, but I loved watching those walls come down as the story went on. The chemistry between these two was undeniable and their story was so sweet and tender. I truly could not get enough. I have enjoyed every single book that I have read from Grace Worthington, but this one is absolutely a new favorite! I cannot wait to see what happens next in the series!

Perfectly Wedded is a closed-door romance with implied intimacy off pages between a married couple but kisses only on the page and no language.
