The Best Mistletoe Bet is part of the Mistletoe Kisses series, as well as being a crossover story between the author's Mountain Men of Whispering Pines series and the Bad Boys Club series. This can be enjoyed as a standalone without having read books from any of these series. 

If you're looking for a short (easily read in a sitting or two) and sweet holiday romance with all the Hallmark-vibes, look no further! This was such an adorable read. First of all, this story had such a sweet feeling of community right from the start. When Kate moves to her best friend's smalltown to become their new librarian, she discovers that the library needs a little (okay, a lot) more work than she'd anticipated. I loved seeing how everyone in the community came together to make it happen--- even for the new girl in town. And then you bring in the romance and it makes it all that much better. Despite being a very quick read, the romance didn't feel at all rushed... I loved seeing their interest grow slowly at the start of the story... until a mistletoe bet jumpstarts everything! These two had a really easy chemistry and I couldn't get enough of them. The more we learned about Tim's life, the more I found myself wanting to check out the author's other series, so this truly was a great introduction for anyone who has not read much (or any) of Deanna's previous books! I certainly cannot wait to read more.
