The Book
In the charming town of Coldwater Creek, two former rodeo stars discover that sometimes the greatest adventures lead you back home.
Holly Ashton thought the holidays back in Coldwater Creek would help her figure out her next steps. Missing the NFR finals for the first time in years has left her questioning if she’s ready to hang up her hat—or take one last shot at barrel racing glory. But as Christmas lights twinkle and the small town buzzes with festive cheer, she’s reminded of everything she’s been missing on the road: family, stability, and maybe even love.
Hunter McBride traded the fast-paced rodeo circuit for the steady rhythm of a woodworking shop. Building furniture and helping the town prepare for its first Christmas market feels more rewarding than he ever expected. But seeing Holly again stirs up old feelings—and the realization that she’s the one he’s always wanted.
As Holly and Hunter team up to bring holiday magic to the market, their connection deepens. But with Holly eyeing a return to the circuit and Hunter rooted in Coldwater Creek, their dreams may be pulling them in opposite directions.
Can they find a way to chase their hearts without losing themselves—or each other—this Christmas?
The Author
By day, Britney M. Mills is the wife to a builder and mom to five, but by night, she turns into an author, writing YA & contemporary romance stories.
A book lover, former college athlete, and Jane Austen fan, she crafts stories with the idea that anyone can find love. When she's not writing, she spends time playing games with her kids, or shuttling them to and from their activities, watching Sanditon and Murdock Mysteries, or dreaming of future characters while she folds a mountain of laundry.

Book Review
Love in the Saddle is the seventh book in the Christmas at Coldwater Creek series. This can absolutely be enjoyed as a standalone without any problems.I always find myself loving a good rodeo story... and when you mix in Christmas as well? Even better! Hunter and Holly drew me into their story right away. Both were rodeo stars, though he had retired a few years earlier. After a rough season, Holly finds herself returning home and questioning what her plans for the future are... and finds herself even more confused on that that future as she starts to develop feelings for her best friend's brother (a favorite trope of mine!). I loved the easy chemistry these two had between them and how they supported each other so beautifully. It was a bit of a slower burn... but so worth the wait when they finally figure things out! Throw in some horses, a smalltown holiday festival and a memorable Christmas tree hunt and there really so much to enjoy in this holiday read! It's definitely one you'll want to add to your holiday TBR!
Love in the Saddle is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
