The White Chocolate Christmas Wish by Jess Mastorakos: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

A mysterious time capsule, a festive bucket list, and a holiday surprise baked with love—Christmas in Charlotte Oaks just got a whole lot sweeter.

When Colton Hayes and I stumble across a decades-old time capsule hidden in my fireplace—with a “Christmas in Charlotte Oaks” bucket list inside—he insists we team up to tackle it together.

In fact, not only does he want me to join him in a festive scavenger hunt, but he's also determined to track down the time capsule's original owner. And even worse? His biggest goal is to convince me to see Christmas the way he does—full of magic and meaning.

But I've spent years keeping this holiday—and my heart—on lockdown. And yet, the more we check off the list, the harder it is to keep Colton at arm’s length. Especially when he pulls off the cookie surprise of a lifetime.

He says every Christmas wish is a chance for something special... but if I make a wish, am I ready for it to come true?

A White Chocolate Christmas Wish is set in the world of the Love in Charlotte Oaks series, where you'll find families as sweet as the tea, hot veterans who've returned home to find true love, and a beloved pet goat who has the habit of coming in clutch to save the day.

Book Review

The White Chocolate Christmas Wish is part of the Christmas Kisses and Cookie Crumbs series- a multi-author series of short and sweet standalone holiday romances. It is also connected to the author's Love in Charlotte Oaks series. I had not yet personally read any of the books in that series and found I was able to enjoy this one just fine as a standalone.

This was such a cute holiday read. Colton and Hope had a really sweet and easy chemistry that was just very enjoyable to read. She wasn't big on the holidays when the story started, but when they find a list of Christmas activities, I love that he wants to show her how wonderful the holidays can be. With great chemistry, lots of holiday festivities and some goat mischief, this one made me smile throughout! At under 100 pages, it's definitely a quick read--- easily read in under an hour but it didn't feel super rushed or incomplete--- just the perfect bite size holiday romance for this busy season! While I've had many of her books on my TBR for some time now, this was actually the first Jess Mastorakos book that I'd actually read and was the perfect introduction to have me wanting to move them up the list and read ASAP!

The White Chocolate Christmas Wish is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
