The Book
His ‘hail marry’ proposal to a stranger might be the wildest play of his entire career.
LUCA
One enormous detail stands between me and my dream of being drafted to the NFL: a valid visa. With my student visa expiring and a past, unfortunate run-in with the law disqualifying me from the one I need, I’ve run out of options.
Then fate hands me a wild card: saving a stranger from a speeding truck.
TORI
When someone saves your life, a “thank you” card doesn’t quite cut it. So, when I find out Luca’s only path to the NFL finding a wife, how can I not offer? It’s only a formality anyway.
But paperwork turns out to be just the beginning of it. Playing pretend leads through a maze of immigration scrutiny and a lot more time together than either of us planned on. And keeping my heart out of the game? That might be the biggest challenge of all.
Hail Marry is the final story in the Sheppards in Love series. It's a closed-door marriage of convenience, free of steamy scenes and swearing but with all of the swoon and laughs you could ask for!

Book Review
Hail Marry is the fourth and final book in the Sheppards in Love series. While those who have enjoyed the previous books in the series will love seeing some familiar characters, I do believe this could be enjoyed just fine as a standalone as well.I have enjoyed every single book in this series, but I have to say... I have a new favorite! I was hooked right from Luca and Tori's very dramatic (and heroic meet-cute) ... with him saving her life. Talk about a way to start a book! When she learns that his dreams of playing in the NFL are on the line due to visa issues, she decides to thank him by offering marriage. Marriage of convenience is a favorite trope of mine and as such, I've read many... but this one definitely felt unique! I absolutely adored these two together. They had a wonderful chemistry, and I loved seeing the progression of their rather unique relationship. Both characters were just such great people that you couldn't help but fall in love with them and want everything to work out. While I am sad to see this series come to an end, Martha Keyes certainly saved the best for last, and I absolutely LOVED it!
Hail Marry is a closed-door romance with no language. It does have implied intimacy off the pages, but it was VERY subtle and between a married couple.
