The Book
When a photographer and a carpenter are forced together, love becomes the real project.
For photographer Charlotte Bennett, Palmar Island is supposed to be just another job—until she meets Grant Lawson, the talented carpenter with a deep love for the island’s history. As they race against time to complete her project before Valentine’s Day, their professional partnership blossoms into something more, thanks in no small part to a scruffy dog determined to play matchmaker. But as Charlotte captures the island’s historic beauty, she finds herself drawn to the idea of staying long after the job is done. Will Grant be able to convince her that home isn’t just a place, but a person—and that love is worth the leap?

Book Review
Valentine on Palmar Island is part of the Valentine's Sweethearts series. This is a multi-author series of sweet standalone Valentine romances. This one is also set in the same world as the author's previous Palmar Island series. Having not read any of those previous books, I found I was able to enjoy this one just fine as a standalone. This was a super cute story, perfect for Valentine's Day! Charlotte and Grant were really sweet together. They get off to a bit of a rough start, but it doesn't take long to see their chemistry--- especially when there's a matchmaking dog in the picture. That definitely added a fun element to the story and made me smile at his antics! This story was filled with small town charm and a great sense of home, with lots of cute Valentine's Day references (though it could certainly be enjoyed anytime throughout the year as well). This is definitely a quick read--- at under 100 pages, it could easily be read in under an hour-- the perfect bite-sized Valentine's read. This was my first visit to Palmar Island, but it had me looking forward to more.
Valentine on Palmar Island is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
