Engaged In Espionage by Jenessa Fayeth: Book Review

The Book

For my first official case as Amelia Quinn, Private Investigator, (title pending), I will find out what my boyfriend is hiding from me.

Luckily, I know just what his secret is.

Only it wasn’t supposed to lead me right into the middle of his undercover operation. What can I say? Danger finds me.

Now hopefully I can find a way out of this mess, and that secret.

Engaged in Espionage is a fun and light-hearted short story, following Amelia and Caleb from Date with Danger on their next adventure.

The Author

Jenessa Fayeth doesn't remember the last time she got a full night's sleep. But she does know how late she can stay up reading to survive the next day. In college she majored in Family Life and Human Development, and she now uses that knowledge to convince herself she isn't crazy while raising her wild children. Her hobbies include reading, writing, sleeping, eating, and running. She writes all night and is a mom and wife all day. She is constantly exhausted, but she wouldn't change it for the world. In her opinion, peanut butter is the most important food group.

Book Review

Engaged in Espionage is a short story, following Amelia and Caleb, who we first met in Date with Danger. While you may be able to enjoy this one on its own, I think those who have read that previous book will get the most out of it. 

Date with Danger is one of my absolute favorites, so I was thrilled to have a chance to catch up with Amelia and Caleb... no matter how brief. This one absolutely did not disappoint. Amelia is once again back with her usual antics, taking us on a quick adventure through Vegas with lots of danger... and even more laughs. Jenessa Fayeth does banter and humor so well, and this truly is another fantastic example of just that. I'm not sure I stopped smiling from start to finish. This is a quick read, easily finished in just one sitting but a perfect catch up with these characters that I already adore and so much fun. I loved it! 

Engaged in Espionage is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
