Signed, Sealed, (Not) Yours by Kimberly Hanson: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Can a Valentine’s scavenger hunt lead to a second chance at love?

Rachel
As a travel blogger, I’m always on the hunt for hidden gems across Western Canada. So when my best friend invites me back to Candy Cane Creek for its first annual Valentine’s Festival, I can’t resist. From the conversation hearts tree to the holiday hoedown, the town has pulled out all the stops for couples and singles alike.

What I didn’t expect? Being signed up for The Love Search, a scavenger hunt designed to lead me to my perfect match. Instead of romance, I keep running into the one man I swore I’d avoid—Levi Harrison.

Levi
I have neither the time nor the patience for Candy Cane Creek’s new obsession with Valentine’s Day. Thanks to our town’s ongoing rivalry with Gingerbread Grove, the festival has turned into a full-blown matchmaking event. I planned to steer clear of it all—until my meddling sister signed me up.

Now, I’m stuck solving clues and, according to Rachel Bennett, apparently stalking her. Last time she was in town, sparks flew… until everything fell apart.

With riddles to unravel, matches to be made, and surprises around every corner, one question remains—can Cupid’s arrow really hit its mark twice?

The Author

Kimberly lives in BC, Canada with her husband, two children and ridiculously cute German Shepherd. When she’s not dreaming of stories, she homeschools her two children as they explore and learn the world together, reads anything she can get her hands on, and drinks a lot of coffee.

Book Review

Signed, Sealed (Not) Yours is part of the Holiday Rivals series. While those who have read the previous books in the series might have a little better understanding of the town and see a few familiar characters, I do think this could be enjoyed as a standalone as well.

This was such a cute read! A Valentine's Day event in a Christmas town...what could be better than that? It turns out this quirky little town of Candy Cane Creek can go just as big for other holidays too... and I absolutely adored it! Rachel and Levi had a bit of a moment when she was last in town, but despite the sparks, things didn't end so well. Now, she's back in town to cover the Valentine event and both have been signed up for a Love Search scavenger hunt, giving them time to sort out exactly what went wrong the first time. It was fun and festive, and I couldn't help but find myself smiling throughout their story. For a holiday that's all about romance, we don't see as many Valentines themed stories, so I absolutely loved getting this one...but don't let that stop you from picking it up any time of year... reading in March, well past Valentine's Day, I still enjoyed this story just as much as I would have in February. This was a quick read, easily read in just a sitting or two, but is not short on fun or chemistry. I cannot wait to see what happens next in the series!

Signed, Sealed (Not) Yours is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
