Forget Me Knot by B.R. Goodwin: Book Review

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

The Book

Sweet and Salty make the best combo.

Life is simple and sweet and best enjoyed with twisted, buttery carbs. Or that’s what I tell myself when I relocate to quaint Honey Hill, Georgia and open up my very own pretzel bakery, Knotty & Nice. I may have been skeptical of my sister’s love for the wacky town, but its Southern charm and welcoming business owners completely steal my heart.

Then in strolls dreamy Jack Jones, a pretzel in one hand and a bouquet of flowers in the other, and my romance lovin’ heart runs wild. I’m convinced it’s love at first sight... until Jack acts as if he doesn’t know me the next day, leaving me to wonder if his charming, but strangely elusive nature might be more of a plot twist than I’m ready for.

My life feels like an overrated medical drama, but with far less moody music and zero questionable elevator liaisons. Some days, you’ll find me outgoing. On others, I stick to myself, my flower shop, and a trusted schedule—one that keeps me in control no matter what or who each day brings.

But when I meet my new neighbor, Dinah Knot, a huge part of me wants to throw that carefully constructed routine out the window. She’s stunning and warm, like daisies in sunshine, and illogically difficult to walk away from… until the confusion that's become my daily companion makes it difficult to decide if her strawberry blonde hair and sugary smile are irresistibly enticing or just too sweet for someone like me.

Yet, I can’t help wondering which version of me Dinah would choose.

The Author

B.R. Goodwin is a Georgia native, married to her college sweetheart, and the mother of three wild animal children she adores.

When she isn’t writing Christian Fiction, she’s reading, hiking, bee-keeping, soccer mom-ing, or planning her family’s next big adventure while drinking copious amounts of tea & coffee. Above all else, the heartbeat of everything she does in life, friendship, and writing is with an eye to sharing the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ with everyone she meets.

Book Review

Kiss productivity goodbye when you sit down to read this one, because once you start reading, you absolutely will NOT be able to put it down until the final page (and even then, you're still going to want more). Right from their sweet meet cute, I was absolutely hooked on Jack and Dinah's story. I can't say too much without giving away spoilers, but this truly was one of the most unique storylines I have read in a long time and one that you're absolutely going to want to experience for yourself. There were so many laugh out loud moments (all the panty club talk... oh my goodness!!), but it also had those tender heartfelt moments too... both balanced so beautifully. Jack was certainly a complex character, but I loved seeing his heart throughout the story... and how Dinah loved every part of him just as he was. The relationships between his siblings and friends also added so much to the story... and I can't help but hope to see more of some of these characters in future books in the series. I have never read a B.R. Goodwin book that I didn't adore, but this one is most definitely a new favorite!

Forget Me Knot is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. There is some light Christian content as well (brief mentions of church, etc.).
