The Book
She’s in the business of fairy tales. He’s hoping for a real-life happily ever after.
Hillary’s life is full of glitter, tiaras, and tea parties—as the owner of a princess party business, she knows how to bring magic to kids’ birthdays. But her own life feels anything but enchanted. After a disastrous blind date and being displaced by renovations at the Spice House, she ends up crashing in the last place she expected: her best friend Jack’s guest room.
Jack, a dependable Boston vet, has been nursing a quiet crush on Hillary for years. Now that they’re under the same roof, he’s determined to win the little bet they made—who can land three dates first. But when his guy friends create a list of ways to make Hillary fall for him, Jack’s all in… cautiously. Because while he doesn’t want to scare her off, he also doesn’t want to miss his shot.
As Jack works through the list—one charming moment at a time—Hillary starts to notice things she’s never seen before: his loyalty, his smile, the way he always shows up for her. Maybe friendship was just the beginning of their story after all…

By day, Britney M. Mills is the wife to a builder and mom to five, but by night, she turns into an author, writing YA & contemporary romance stories.
A book lover, former college athlete, and Jane Austen fan, she crafts stories with the idea that anyone can find love. Book Review
Matched with Her Former Best Friend is the sixth and final book in the Romance by Love. Austen series. While those who have read the previous books will enjoy seeing some familiar characters, I do think this could be enjoyed as a standalone. This was such a cute read! Jack and Hillary were best friends for years, until their falling out a day before her failed wedding. Three years later, she finds herself in need of somewhere to stay and Jack offers up his home. As they spend more time together after their time apart, sparks fly. I really loved the easy chemistry between these two from their long history... but because they had spent some time away from each other, we do still get to have some of the 'getting to know each other' that we don't always get in a friends to love, which I really enjoyed. As a Disney princess fan, I must say that Hillary's job added a lot of fun to the story as well. The friendships (both Jack and Hillary's) also added so much to the story-- I loved how they all tried to push these two together! And the Love Prescription? I loved it. If you love friends to more, silly bets and roommate mishaps, this is one you'll definitely want to check out.
Matched with Her Former Best Friend is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.
